Four video documentaries comprise this series. The Icons in Innovation segment features five individuals who have contributed to ground-breaking advances in their respective fields of work. The Icons in Medicine segment focuses on the achievements of six leading lights in medical research and practice. Seven different disciplines are highlighted in the Icons in Science segment, which chronicles the work of persons who have advanced scientific knowledge and built excellence in research in our region. The Science Education segment completes the series with two unique individuals who collectively have trained thousands of young scientists in our region and have immensely strengthened our human resource capability in the sciences.
The video documentary was produced and scripted by Advance Dynamics Limited, Trinidad and Tobago with the assistance of the NIHERST Science Communications and International Projects Units.
